"As an urban troubadour, Eric John Kaiser surfs the musical vibes of Paris, Portland, Australia, Hong Kong, and many other oceans along the way. He is also probably the only Parisian expatriate, and fresh Portlander, sporting a
unique folk/rock/funk sound paired with both French and English lyrics.
Kaiser’s journey started in Paris where he performed over 300 concerts, recorded full-length albums with his former band, Melt, and contributed to the album "Robots après tout" from the French artist, Katerine. Meanwhile, he’s also played in Australia, in Hong Kong, and Saint Croix.
As a documentary film maker and radio personality, Kaiser met and interviewed John Butler, Xavier Ruud, The Stereophonics, Aerosmith, David Bowie, Jack Johnson, ACDC, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Wyclef Jean, James Blunt, the Artic Monkeys and many other famous alternative French artists.
The interviews helped him grow as an artist, honing his craft, and helped him decide to do short independent movie documentaries.
Kaiser’s first album, "L'ODyssée," was recorded in July 2006 in Paris, with these fellow musicians, who - through their talent and energy - continue to feed his inspiration: Adrien on the Bass, Tony on drums, Rio Taxi on classical guitar, Feniksi from the famous French rap band Saïan Supa Crew, and Tétard."
